That most of the people screwed were mom and pop types was why you never saw any lawsuites. The people they screwed most were the $1k-$10k crowd, enough to hurt, but not enough to make a law suit worth it. And no body could pull the group together to do a class action. Add to that the move off shore and they got away with theft.
Of course they do still have 1 major asset that is still in the US....
