Then there are a LOT of introverts in NYC.
I usually just smile on an elevator but if I'm standing in line for 20 minutes, I'm going to strike up a conversation. If I'm brushed off, I'll shut up....eventually :P The biggest problem I have is that I'd RATHER not talk on the airplane, but I hate being rude if someone starts up first - unless it's someone I know.
