Well my Gran used to give me a mixture of honey, lemon and scotch when i was a kid and that always worked so i started doing it myself about 5 years ago and well, for me it does the trick
Basically, a shot of scotch, teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of lemon juice heated until the honey 'dissolves' (or whatever the real term for it is) then wait a minute or two for the liquid to cool down and drink it like a shot.
