You could get the same effect by adding an entry to a users host file, but since spyware, etc is notorious for using folks hosts file clandestinely, many users would wipe out your changes pretty quick.
The idea here would be for people to knowingly dns off of you to get to those "secret" places on the net that no one else knows about....
