I, unfortunately, from personal and VERY expensive experience know that NOT to be true.
An engagement ring may have the desired effect for a time, but as soon as the band on the finger and the "I do" happens along, any power assumed previously is removed fortwith upon return from Honeymoon.
"You can't do that" or "NO, I don't want to" from you is quickly replaced by "Yes dear".
I won't be getting married again in any hurry.
And my advice dude? Just don't post shit you don't want her to read, or trade her in.
ONLY follow the second option IF you can afford a newer model. Think about it.
