The democrats are likely to have some struggles the far lefties and the rest of the party.
The republicans are likely to have some struggles between the evangelicals and the rest of the party.
Should get interesting. I have seen the Democrats pronounced dead twice in my lifetime (after Nixon and Reagan), and the Republicans pronounced dead twice in my lifetime (after Goldwater and Nixon [popular sumbitch, Dickie was]).
Reports of the demise of either party is greatly exaggerated. I still think that 10-15% of the electorate can swing to either party under the right circumstances. If Congress, particularly the House, pushes Bush too far to the right - it could bite them in the ass.
