Hello Miss Eve! I read in Good Housekeeping that Delicato Shiraz in a box beat bottled wine in a blind taste test. The same article mentions Banrock Station and Hardy's, from Australia, and Black Box, Delicato, and Peter Vella, from California; at wine stores, Whole Foods Market and Target, as the best wines in boxes.
However, I have no personal knowlege on this subject. I do know for a fact my friend JEllen, who owns a art gallery, starts the her art gallery shows with red and white wine in the bottle, and then re-fills the wine bottles (in the kitchen, out of sight of her patrons) from wine in the box after everyone has had a few glasses and she says no one has mentioned the difference.
