Seriously though, I'm normally happy to deal with whatever convenience (or contrivance) that makes the other person comfortable. Provided effective communication can be done that way.
Although a) I do find it very annoying those few folks who can for whatever reason ONLY do busineess in ICQ and b) there are many times when the issue is complicated, and one five minute phone call will take the place of dozens of back-and-forth emails over many days -- that's the only time I really do insist on biz by phone.
