Sare, in addition to Vick's good advice, I think it's also a matter of POV or mindset.
There's a saying with movie actors, that they don't get paid to act. They get paid to wait around. The acting they'd do for free anyhow.
So maybe for your job stuff, change your mindset -- that you're not being paid to complete projects, you're being paid to code. And save the completing projects for your clients and yourself.
