This is exactly what Bush wants to get out to people - that he is the underdog in the debates, that he will stumble and not perform well....
Bush has always been underrated, this is one of his strengths.... he sneaks up on people. They set the bar low, when he easily gets over he looks better.
Kerry will have a hard time beating Bush in the debates because of the expectations will be much higher for Kerry.
