Everytime something happens in Russia, Putin puts Muslim leaders on TV right away to condemn everything. He did it last night too for the school bombing. He smiles a lot for western press, but in Russia, there is no doubt who is in control and he does not miss a chance to make that very clear.
After the theater seige was the best... he put 3 of the top muslim clerics on TV and with a very stern look on his face just said "so, what do you have to say" and let them address all of Russia live. They looked like frightened little kids and left little doubt in the sincerity of their condemnation and apology (although, i am sure they had good reason to be frightened).

Interesting. Well hopefully the normal every day Muslim will wake up and not let a few wackos control their fate.
This is not a war they can win in the long run.
