I would never rat out anyone, but if it came down to spending my life in jail or putting the person who tried to put me there in jail themselves, its an easy choice. I'm tired of making sacrafices for the benefit of others only to have them shit on my head from a great height once their wings have grown back.
Perhaps the question shouldn't be "Would you rat out your friends/associates?" but "How do you know if your friends/associates are ratting on you?" instead.
