Yes, and that is the problem... Al Qaeda was created more or less in Saudi Arabia -and it feeds on the suppression by the rulers, and the more terror Al Qaeda makes, the more the rulers will have to rule, those making Al Qaeda stronger.... its like a unpreventable scenario, which the western world will probably just keep watching, because our values are not comparable with those of the islamic world (I wonder what we would do, if nazis took power in Germany in 2004)

Saudi Arabia is one of the few islamic countries, which have Sharia law, however it favors a few, and those who support Al Qaeda do not think that those few are "traditional"and are serving Islam, because the few will not give up power to a Khalifa... this is what islamists want, they want to create a world power, which can rule over the lives of others. But they need to bring down the US, which not only by military power keeps Saudi Arabia rulers in power, but also by trade - ties between the US and Saudi Arabia, is making Al Qaeda less likely to overthrow the goverment and creating world wide chaos by cutting oil supply.

But like I said, its like a timebomb - Saudi Arabia has one of the fastest growing populations in the world (like most islamic countries, where mullahs and priests have told the people to have many babies, because it will strengthen islam against other religions/ideologies) - it creates few jobs, suppress real freedom and human rights etc. its just a major problem waiting to happen.

Ironic the only ones who might be able to do something about the these problems are the west, however we are too busy debating whatever there were WMD in Iraq, if we are treating terrorist humane etc. all things which will seam pointless, when oil cost $150-200/barrel, and some new "messiah" figure in the Islamic world is getting ready for WWIII against the infidels (you and me).
