Actually I couldn't take my son to a show like these
Couldn't be a good role model (the hidden sides of daddy Sebastian never needs to know about - nor should)
Interesting about the children and concerts and then the music they like
Think I wrote this nonsense last night because I've been thinking about literature we read and it's effects on us
Last 4 books (all in the last 3 weeks or so)
reread Humphrey Bogart's biography by Sperber and Lax
Smooth and bittersweet, reminds me of a bottle of Scotch a friend brought by a few months back. He also had some excellent chocolate, if you ate a square of the chocolate you could really taste the peat in the scotch
Bogart really spent time at war with the government (congressional hearings and so on), Warner Studio, a few wives and maybe himself
He left a young bride and 2 young children when he died of cancer at home, but there were good times along the way
"Song of Susannah" - latest in the Stephen King "Dark Tower" series
Very good - the last book of the series comes out this fall
reread "The Dirt" - the Autobiography of Motley Crue
a truly vile, evil book. A tale of spoiled brats, their decadence and maybe just maybe growing up, or at least facing the truths
I had to finish it quickly and get out if it's groove so to speak
Some of the stuff Vince Neil when through with his 4 year young daughter dying of cancer I don't know if I could handle and don't think anyone every should have to face
Currently rereading "On Writing" - Stephen King
Very good book about the craft of writing. Couldn't sleep so this cheesy narrative came out last night. Was sort of an exercise in narrative and rewriting and self indulgence
