you are berated for travels because:
you use your travels here as a status symbol
(kinda like a weasel) and not as an educational value you are sharing with others.
Folks here smell hypocracy and insencirety and show off a mile away.
Every time I travel,
I bring something to share with others, make their lives more interesting and horizons expanded...
