When the US will need to do energy conservation, then I´m sure there will be high tax on fuel/oil aswell... its one of the easist/fastest ways to make people do energy conservation.

Maybe the US needs to import some european socialists, and make them Secretary of Energy, Secretary of Transportation and Secretary of the Treasury
