If you want some fodder for conspiracy theories... when I first set it up I changed the code so the gallery links ran via a simple php script on my server.. I used it to check click counts but was mainly just so the links on that page all pointed internally instead of to the remotethumbs domain. It worked fine for a week or so then suddenly my links were all redirecting to some tgp site.. it appearred like boldy had blocked me linking that way, likely blocked all head requests rather than me in particular I thought at the time... been meaning to email boldy and ask why that happened.. but like I said in another thread.. I am not into TGP stuff so it wasnt a priority.
As far as why use it at all... there is 1200 thumb images updated dailly here

I wouldnt be doing it at all if not for remotethumbs.. maybe it wont be worth the effort, but it wasnt much effort and now i will know for myself. Anyone, even the technically challenged, could setup the same thing in an hour or two.
