Opti, instead of leaving all these different servers wide open, why not just put a cron tab on each server and have the remote sites contact one central site?
Instead, this system leaves hundreds of servers with wide open code, accessible by anyone who knows where to look.
Just poor design from the word go - and has the potential to be a major fuckover in the future. Imagine someone figures out a little hack and turns all those servers into DOS attack machines instead? Leaving that many machines open like that is just not a good plan.
