Probably for the same reason that nobody expects George Bush to pick up a gun and fight and die for "freedom" even though he forces others to do so.
George must not really believe in his cause then, right? He must not really believe that his personal lord and savior will protect him with all the protection he surrounds himself with. Its a real testament to his faith.
Today is a good day so far, it will be even better if most of you die by the end of it.

But George Bush doesn't go around saying he'd love to be a martyr, etc. All these leaders "welcome" death, but now that it's happening, they all seem rather scared to step up.
