"The only thing I would definitely do differently would be to get into the providing of goods and services for webmasters a little sooner. I often use the analogy of the 1849 California Gold Rush.

There were tens of thousands of people rushing to California, seeking their fortune in the hills and rivers, hoping for that big strike, or the Mother Lode. Few ever saw their dream come true.

The ones that made the real money were the entrepreneurs that sold goods and services to the miners. Wells Fargo and Levi-Strauss are two examples of this. I like to think that eventually I will reach Well Fargo status, and if I had started a little earlier, perhaps this goal would be reached already.
"

all wrong...Levi Strauss made his money during Alaskan Gold Rush in 1898,
some 50 years later
;-)))
Klondike Gold Rush is a classical example of all "rushes", not California one which was MUCH smaller and much less dramatic...no frozen bodies along the way like in Alaska
