I was wondering about the Japanese as well. Prior to 1945, they would send a huge army to the middle east and kick ass. After 50 years of being non-agressive with no real military things might have changed.
I hope they stay and fight.
There are dozens of kidnappings everyday throughout Latin America, and it has not chased out business or tourism.
