I can see that there is some confusion.. let me try to straighten this out.
Darren Austin came to work with AEBN about 6 months ago. We set up the shoutcast server to broadcast his show. We thought it would be a good idea to broadcast more than one show.. we just need to figure out a way to do that. - October 2003.
I met Gonzo in Vegas and we talked about Oprano having a radio show. I had already talked to a couple of other companies about doing the same thing. Oprano went live with its radio show first. - January/February 2004
Then I struck a deal with Netpond to move the Netpond Show over to AEBN. The next day I struck a deal with PLR to become Channel 2 an all music station and for the PLR Live Show to broadcast on Channel 1. - March 2004
AEBN is the Network like ABC, CBS, etc.. We only have 1 show and that is Darren's show. The other shows belong to their respective owners, Netpond, PLR, & Oprano.
On Oprano you will hear the radio stuff refered to as AEBN/Oprano Radio, Oprano/AEBN Radio, when its really 'Oprano Radio on the AEBN Network'.
I like Oprano. I do business with Oprano. I also do business with Xbiz, Ynot, TAW, Netpond, PLR, GreenguyandJim, you get the idea.. What seperates what I'm doing with the radio stuff, from what has been done in the past is that I am not a resource. I am not in competition with resources the way all the other resources are in competition with each other. I am offer anyone the means to broadcast on neutral ground.
Think of AEBN Radio as public access.
