Can't answer why he said "nickel and diming", but as for the comparison...
Hustler and Penthouse have always been head-to-head in the offline world. (Playboy was a "higher class" of magazine, more soft than those two.)
Penthouse just bought Ibill.
Hustler bought Jetbill.
So now we have 2 long-time competitors both in the online market, both with sites, and both with processing in their corner.
At least, that's my understanding, I could be 100% wrong.
