Not with GWB. He honestly believes we live in a Christian democracy/republic (however you wish to difine the US). His stand on 'Gay Marriage' is based upon his faith -- and the clear understanding he better get an issue that will take everyone's eyes off his failures -- education, Iraq, terrorism, jobs and on, and on.
The issues may be equality in civil marriage law and a Federal Marriage Amendment but the real fight George is attempting to lead is against the separation of church and state.
Does he know of what he speaks?? Is his belief correct?? How 'Christian' is the USofA??
