If you open it up to gov't, then you open it up to abuse and exploitation like anything else the gov't puts its hands on.
The day my state tries to "encourage" me to listen to it regarding how many children it thinks I should have, I'm moving. The day this country follows China and says you can only have x number of kids, I guess I'll be packing my bags and sadly saying goodbye to the good old USA.

I'd settle for the government to stop rewarding those who cant afford a family everytime they squeeze out another one by giving them more handouts and benefits.
