Sorry I'm coming to this late but CONGRATS - I know how much this meant to you to get in, this is excellent news!
Re: the AF over other branches of service... my grandfather was Navy, my dad was Army and my hubby was Army - all are encouraging my son to go AF because all said "if I had it to do over again, I would have gone AF." Something about nicer barracks, better food, more options... So even though they are EXTREMELY proud of their particular branches (the Army/Navy game is *fun* around here - lol), they want the best for my son - and they are all pointing to the AF.
To me that says a LOT... Good choice!
