It WAS a handheld which was why I never could figure the damn thing out. It was in b/w, had all kinds of coordinates and crap, I had to download things, etc. I'd turn it on at home and not even know where I was, let alone actually leaving the house and trying to get directions somewhere. I finally gave it away after letting it sit in a box for a few years.
