We're up to 12 in the family now, so for the last few years we've drawn names, everyone pitches in $X per person, you write a list and whomever picks your name buys off your list.

For the second time in 3 years, I've drawn my Dad who only wants a Lands End gift certificate.
The lists are great because you can use them to buy birthday presents also. Plus I grab stuff throughout the year, toss everything in a big box and then go through it a couple of weeks before Christmas. I did it last night and I'm completely set for everyone.
And then like an idiot I make everyone a gift every year. I start at the beginning of January so I'm not in a rush. Stop around the middle of January and then start up again after Thanksgiving. I'm still working on 5 gifts.
Someone would have to give me thousands of dollars to walk into a Toys R Us this time of year.
