who did who to whom, when, why and who is to blame is just semantics and there is no right answer. "right" or "wrong" depends merely on ones perspective and which side of the fence you are/were on.
Japan was lashing out in every direction for quite some time. without looking i know they invaded almost every neighbor at one time including Korea, China, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan etc etc etc. I am not going to go back and look up dates and arguments to justify or defend anyones behavior and lay blame for Pearl Harbor, but i will say that it was a different time adn that CONGRESS and the President agreed to do what they feel was the best move.
I think its a little crazy to say "japan killled 200,000 people in China" etc etc etc and the US did nothing... then when the US does something, criticise that as well, by characterizing it as provacative behavior.
