Labret simply has a case of paralysis by analysis.
Simple things, like being able to see the forest through the trees is alien to him. Just a stupid analogy that is below him.
That's what happens when you think you are the only smart person around.
Wisdom is not knowledge, and cannot be absorbed in the same manner as knowledge.
