Yup, a few years ago late one night in the wrong neighbourhood. But I also lived in a much more violent city where everyone is packing. When you go into the Kmart or a good restaurant, you check your guns at the door. I think there was about fifteen murders a day, something like that. I was just about to buy a .38 police special when I left....Manila.
I personally think we would all be better off without handguns at all. I am not trying to take the rifles and shotguns from hunters nor disarm the police. But I don't know anyone that owns a handgun and most people here don't own handguns and the country seems to function pretty well.
