I'd like to work up to walking an hour a day. What treadmill would you recommend? And if I get a motorized one, how many horses is adequate for that amount of time every day? My mom bought a cheap treadmill a while back, and of course the motor burned out really quick...
Any suggestions?

An hour a day is really pretty easy on a treadmill unless you put the speed faster. Due to my bum leg, I don't go faster than 3.5 MPH because then I'm running and I pay for it later.
I bought mine at WalMart for less than $400. It was rated #1 or #2 with Consumer Reports. It's not one of the fancy smancy ones, but it's all you really need. It has an incline, pulse monitor, drink holder

, etc.
Of course, being the great exerciser that I am, I'm must too lazy to walk down 2 flights of stairs to tell you the exact name, but maybe the basement dweller will read this and do it. Or I'll get it for you tomorrow.
