Shoot, I wasn't allowed to wear pants to school, "dungarees" out of the yard and neither my brother nor I was allowed to wear T-shirts at all.
I won't even get into not being allowed to get my ears pierced until I was 13 or being allowed to chew gum, lol!
My mother still doesn't know my son has had his tongue pierced for 2+ years. :P
