CJ, your comment reminded me of another adult webmaster malady:
IMAPS, aka, "I'm A Playa Syndrome", aka, "I'm A Pimp Syndrome"
Symptoms: Thinking you're something that you're not; pretending you're much "bigger" than you are, followed by falling for your own bullshit.
Age: Newbies are usually not effected, but cases have been known in this group. Most effected are middlebees who have a fleeting taste of (what they would consider) success; usually stumbling into "big money" for a short period of time.
Condition can become acute if too much time is spent around porn stars, celebrity parties, casinos and car showrooms.
While older industry people are infected the least in number, those who are infected at this later stage will develop the most severe cases, often leading to delusions of grandeur, white collar theft, and excessive spending followed by deep debt, more delusions, more theft, and eventually dementia.
Treatment: Anything from continual board bitch-slaps to successive (financial) quarters of decreasing profits, and ever higher credit card bills can sometimes help the victim.
Cure: Reality.
In some cases, this condition has been known to be professionally terminal.
