Excellent post, kudos my friend!
Guns are an integral part of America, and inarguably put us in the position of superpower that we are today. We are a sovereign nation because the common people were willing to take up arms against a King and his men in defense of our liberty. The 2nd Amendment exists because our leaders knew that threats to our freedom don't necessarily always come from without and the People should always have the means and the right to overthrow tyrants, even or maybe especially those who are homegrown.
