While there are many long term solutions that would decrease the number of outlaw gun operators, there will always be an unacceptable number of non-compliant gun operators in a country with a population of 250 million people.
And there will still be non-compliant gun operators if every gun was made illegal. Unless of course there is some magic wand that will wisk them all away with just a wave.

We, the people, are faced with only two choices. One is to place guards, metal detectors, and other devices designed to invade the personal liberties of the citizens at every single place where the public gathers.
Now this is just amazing. Selective personal liberties from people who claim to be civil lbertarians and feel threatened by a police state. WTF?

The other alternative is to eliminate all guns and firearms from the United States of America. Given that we must choose from one of these two choices, we, the people, choose to eliminate all privately held guns and firearms from the United States of America.
As if this is actually possible. Did making drugs/alchohol illegal eliminate them from the United States of America? Or did it fuel a black market that drove the price higher and motivated criminals to stake a claim in the distribution?

Is the money wasted on the Drug War well spent? Could it be spent better on education and treatment? How much would a war on guns cost?

Fucking idealists. Get a clue or join the ranks of the other simpleminded imbeciles that can't see the forest through the trees!
