So yesterday morning PST usa time I am telling my sysadmins / security guys that my design people can't send or recieve email to webinc.com unless it's internal. They say todd for some reason it looks like your port 25 is blocked at the router. I say how could that be, I call 2 times to my isp, dumb shit techs say nope your not blocked. I tell my guys what they said, guys say they will keep checking, take down firewalls, etc, etc few hours later they say it's gotta be that. I say I checked 2 times, no way. I say you better get this shit fixed asap, I pay you good fucking money each month to watch all my servers, security, etc. I goto bed, it's later here in europe. I wake up today, emails are working. my guy calls isp in canada finds out from supervisor it is blocked, they unblock, and Todd better call us today
I call and say what's the problem. We only use webinc.com email for work, nothing else. I say I want to see any emails claiming we sent spam, he says something about a football pool emails, I say hugh? He says Natnetpickem, I say so, it's just for webmasters in our industry. He says someone complained 3 times, I said shit...
Anyways, all is good now.... As mike said, Oprano and anyone related to this just does it for fun and because they love football..
