The US people are driven for the need to fear something. Everything we do and buy is based on this premise. Now that there is nothing to immediately fear many people will not feel the need to continue in Iraq with great intensity.

Islamic terrorism just isn't filling my Cold War fear quota like it should. Maybe I should start to worry about the economy or the environment to make up for the shortage.
