One thing I've noticed over the years is that everytime someone gets into one of these positions they always talk about how much email and IM support they are getting. That is invariably true. Out of hundreds of webmasters, many will end up on either side. What people tend to forget about is all the negative email and IM traffic going on too.
Everyone has their point of view. I don't even know anything about the situation and so I sure as hell am not going to comment on it. Everyone takes careful note of how people react in these situations and bringing personal things into business will, in my opinion, not help you.
I don't know how you think this is a net benefit for you when you are already losing potential business deals because of it. I dont understand why you say "there are only 3 people I know and need to do business with" when it is quite clear that you are trying to do business with more.
I'd really like to see you do well in this business, Forest. You have a lot of talent. A few months ago you were starting to seem more normal. What happened?
