yes, we were forced to watch it growing up - my stepdad is a huge fan.
one year, when he and my mother got married (new relationship with young kids), i was watching his fawlty towers video's which he had painstakingly recorded off the tv 4 hours of episodes ... i left it in the video recorder and taped some 80's music concert thing over the top of it. i think i nearly broke up the relationship
i got him a dvd version last christmas with a card that said, 'sorry, can you shut up about it now?'
