Bidnez is bidnez. Sometimes the exact thing you are looking for comes accross your desk or zaps itself into your email inbox at just the right time.

On a very busy day unsolicited email, just like junk snail mail, goes right in the trash. On days when I am less busy, or on days when I'm buried but don't feel like working, I'll look through it.

Part of it is professional curiousity - I used to write business-to-business bulk mail solicitations, and had some pretty good response rates. I think it would be harder to do on the 'net, however.
