So we throw finger mullets [3-4"], and the reds are also hitting frozen whole mullet set up on a blue rig [when ya use a 10 inch needle, go up the butt, out the mouth pulling the lead and burying the hook in the side near tail, so when they do a 1/2 body bite off you hook em]...........

Here, I could have kept him (we get a Redfish stamp with our license); but I just photographed him and let him go.
I hung him in the surf on my light trout rod with 17 lb. test Stren. head half of a 10-in. sardine for bait. No fancy rigging, just hooked it crosswise back from the head.
