Ocracoake would definitely work
Also Hatteras (town of)... I lived down there for 4 years and still get back every year or so... So, when I think of the OB I think of from Hatteras in the south to Pea Island North, pretty much Hatteras Island...lol...
And I don't think they would work real well in Buxton, Frisco, Avon, etc because the distances would be a lot greater... Most of the time I am there I don't see too many bikes, could be because everyone is cruising the one road at 60+
