I'm very depressed about that truck. It went to truck heaven this weekend.
A friend and I pitched in and bought it together 6+ years ago for $900. I sold it to my brother 4 years ago for $1 because when my kid got his driver's license, it was going to cost a fortune to insure the darned thing.
It started up EVERY TIME even though it would sit for months w/o being driven. It even towed a small camper to the lake and back - pretty good for a vehicle that honestly DID have trouble getting up to 60 mph!
But it failed inspection in March, and my brother didn't want to put any $$ into it. He was content to drive it around and help out his HOA, but it died by the clubhouse one day and a policeman actually came to his door and told him he was getting complaints, lol!
So the Salvation Army (which I think was the 6th place he called - everyone else turned him down) picked it up last weekend.
Sadly, after the kid hit a guardrail, my new Ranger doesn't look much better. :angry:
