As Serge stated there are all type of webmaster traffic. Unfortunately a good percentage that isn’t worth the time of day.

Established /full time– actually making money on adult internet.

Entrepreneur/ Part time – Just another investment

Dreamer/Part time – dreams of being a porn lord. Has some AVS sites, throws up
TPG’s and is always looking for a good free deal.

Beer Bitch/Part time – Is happy making enough for beer money.

I believe a successful board has something for all the groups above. In adult internet it’s all about traffic and signups. A 1000 part timers will easily fill in gaps. That and most established webmasters run their own programs, promoting their own sites.

Every board out there offers a newbie section with articles. Netpond is now soliciting new articles in the forum. The articles in that area are old. The education and resource area, if you’re going have one, should be engaging in a constant tempo. One that provides information and interaction. If I go to a board, I’ll print a few articles and I’m gone unless something really interests me. When I see the same people posting over and over, 50 or more fucking times a day, one and two liner post (because they want a prize or money to post) I’m not wasting that much of my time there. Successful networks engage and deploy a plan. After all isn’t that the trick? Teach them all that you can so they can do that for you or the network you support?

I think that Oprano needs useful tools, perhaps scripts for webmasters. These would need constant updating and promoting. Interesting articles about business is something I really enjoy. A good newsletter is definitely in order but it needs to be clever to make a webmaster want to READ it instead of hitting the delete button. Creating good free scripts with java banner rotation throughout keep the webmasters mindful. Coming up with the right scripts is the key.

I’ve learned a lot on Oprano. I consider myself a pretty savvy business woman who needed to sharpen my edge. After a few months on the boards, especially this one, I was able to lay some tracks. It brought focus to all the things I wanted to do, thought about doing and new projects to consider.

I’d personal like to see good moderators here. Not moderators that introduce a lot of stupid topics- “What did you eat for breakfast?” – I mean it’s ok to be lighthearted but when you see this stupid shit all the time it gets annoying. That’s why I only pop by GFY for a few minutes a day, keep my presence on the boards, make a post or two & leave. I’m just not interested in reading or interacting.

Something that would be interesting on a board, a lot of work but worth it, would be a webmasters community of sorts where webmasters could learn & interact with others publishing the same content or promoting like products. Kinda like what I want to do with Niche Cartel- a site that focused on niche content, resources, extensive information, tools to teach webmasters better ways to promote niches. If you promote niches you want to know who your surfer is and how you can better serve them. A webmaster community taps into several major areas- niche, amateur, products (pills, toys, 900).

Damn, sorry for this long ass post. My brain isn’t even awake! I need more coffee.

Oh Serge, I just got the cutest damn billy goat. He’s handsome, runs around like crazy getting up in the pigs asses. You gotta watch this goat because when you turn your back, playfully he’ll ram you in the butt. I was thinking of a name and I think I’ll call him Serge. I’ll take some pictures.
