there's 1000's of these filters with a couple of hits each, and i STILL get at least 200 emails per day that are not caught by these filters. its rediculous! it doesn't matter how many phrases i add to the filters ... i get a few days of not much email, then the new addresses start being made up and the spam starts building up again until i have time to set up new filters.
these filters i only set up a few weeks ago for specific addresses which have been farmed and resold extensively or just made up and resold ...
ies @ purve.com = 723
amateur @ purve.com = 585
er @ purve.com = 517
etc ...
there's a couple of interesting ones in here i keep stumbling across ... i use 'program' at purve often when i sign up to any kind of program online.
the address ccbill @ purve.com has received 267 emails in a few weeks
at least before you sell a list, remove all references to your own company name
i hope aol, microsoft and yahoo can concentrate long enough to come up with at least some kind of fix. afterall, they are the 3 largest transporters of spam on the net.
