Filters require that you have a clue how to set them up. I can, you can, but can msn newbie of the week do it? Could your parents do it? I have tons of filters in my mail program already, but it is sort of hard to filter shit out when they keep changing to "FR*E*E* I*N&K *F*R*EE" as a subject link, ya know?
Nope, filtering spam at the reception level doesn't eliminate the network congestion, the wasted resources, and the wasted time.
