I believe that many of the middle eastern countries are pissed off & concerned that if Iraq becomes a democratic nation, with the freedoms of the west plus strengthened by her oil wealth, many of these countries & their semi or fully oppresive regimes may face great threats from within their countries. People will see what the iraqi's have & they may want it.
Call me unrealistic, but it could happen. Most of these regimes would fall if their populations turned against them. Saudi Arabia, Iran, Lebannon, Syria.
