I believe in this war for the sole reason that there is NO WAY I want a nation or group of nations that HATES us and our way of life to be STRONGER than we are. Not because of liberation of people or 'showing them how good we have it' or 'saving' anyone. IF we win this war, we will most likely not have improved things for anybody but ourselves.
All of the other reasons are excuses.
