here is the argument I heard from a well noted arab american journalist:
if DEMOCRATIC elections were held in Saudi Arabia,
Bin Laden would have won!
if DEMOCRATIC elections were held in Egypt,
the most clerical party would have won!
same for Jordan...
do we wanna bring Democracy to the region?????
